There has been a frenzy of rumors swirling about the iOS jalbreak scene over the past few weeks, all surrounding the purported discovery of a bootrom exploit for devices running the A5 SoC and up.
According to famed iOS hacker MuscleNerd, that simply isn’t the case.
There is no A5+ bootrom exploit, by anyone. Not even a bootrom dump. Nothing.

Much of the speculation was based around what p0sixninja was doing. iFans revealed that his goal was to create an opensource jailbreak repository that stored useful pieces of code that would then be freely accessible to anyone who wanted to become involved.
All isn’t lost: iOS hackers continue to work on future exploits, and we’ve already seen hints that iOS 7 has been jailbroken months before release.
