Beats By Dr Dre

FixYa, a community-based question-and-answer website, has released a new report that compares the top celebrity-endorsed headphones available on the market. The report, which uses information based on thousands of troubleshooting requests posted to its website, details that Beats By Dr. Dre headphones were found to have uneven sound, limited noise cancellation and other serious malfunctions.

HeadphonesThe noise cancelling capabilities of the Soul by Ludacris headphones were also found to be lacking, but the pair compensated well with impressive audio quality when playing bass-driven music genres. Likewise, Jay Z’s Skullcandy Roc Nation Aviators had upside in the sound quality for the price paid, but were weighed down by issues with durability and a lack of bass.

House of Marley was deemed the best headphone line in the report, thanks to the company’s eco-friendly mission statement and high-quality sound across a variety of music genres. Meanwhile, 50 Cent’s SMS Audio 50 headphones were found to be the worst pair in the report, with poor wireless quality, a muddy sound experience and overpowering bass.

The report offers alternative headphones in lieu of the celebrity-backed pairs, including models from Audio-Technica, Bose, Sennheiser and Ultrasone. FixYa has released the full-length report to the public for your perusal. What kind of headphones do you use?
