If you have ever found yourself frustrated that Image Capture opens automatically on Mac OS X Mountain Lion when you plug in your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, you’re not alone. It’s a common problem, with an incredibly simple solution. The next time you plug an iOS device into your Mac, simply navigate to the bottom left corner of Image Capture and select No Application from the drop-down menu.
You can also use this menu to change the application that opens by default upon connecting your Apple device, if Image Capture isn’t your fancy.
