Wouldn’t it be fantastic to see some comparison pictures between the iPhone 4′s IPS-ready Retina Display and the iPod touch 4G’s LED Retina Display that aren’t in strange lighting or background settings? Well, it’s your lucky day, because waiting beyond that read link are some comparison photos of the iPad’s IPS screen and the iPod touch 4G’s.
As expected, the iPod does fair a little bit worse than some were hoping. However, due to the portability of the iPod touch compared to the iPad, I feel that it is easier to hold the iPod (or iPhone) at a straight angle, therefore virtually eliminating the angle viewing advantage. Still, the iPad and iPhone 4 have a leg up here. Plus, how much less does the iPod touch cost than an iPad? Or an iPhone? Exactly.
Just so you know, these photos haven’t been edited in any way, shape, or form, and were taken by a Nikon D40 DSLR camera using the kit lens.
