iOS Hack: Developer Adam Bell Routs Push Notifications Through Google Glass

This is really cool. Well-known developer Adam Bell, creator of popular jailbreak tweaks Stride and Cascade, has managed to port systemwide iOS notifications to Google Glass. The following video demo details how the process works, and it’s pretty awesome even in its infancy.

This neat hack brings push notifications to Google Glass from across your iPhone, no matter which app they are coming from: Messages, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or you name it. Due to the closed nature of iOS software, this implementation requires a jailbroken device.

Bell will be adding this hack to GitHub in the coming days, and he hopes to make it available on Cydia one day as a full-fledged package. Android smartphones already have a lot of functionality with Glass through the MyGlass app from Google Play, and it will be nice to see those capabilities extended to iPhone.
