iFixit has done what they do best, and completely torn apart the iPod Touch 4G. Sadly, the teardown revealed that the latest Touch has only 256 MB of RAM, compared to the 512 MB on the iPhone 4. This shouldn’t stop you from buying one, (Nor should the quasi-IPS display or nigh-one-megapixel camera) but it could become a concern with some of the more intensive games and applications that may be revealed down the road.
Breaking news: the iPod Touch has only 256 MB RAM, same Samsung part markings as iPad.
