Yesterday’s earnings call brought sad news for Apple in terms of profit, but good news in practically every other area. Not only were revenues at record highs, but the company reported records in its App Store as well. Milestones hit include 45 billion app downloads in the quarter and $9 billion payed to developers.
As noted on their web site, Contactually claims to “manage your contacts and strengthen your relationships by prompting you to take meaningful action.” The service’s newly released iPhone app as part of Contactually 2.0 lets users record calls, easily follow up with contacts, display reminders. Other updates were made to the service today as well.
NFL Enterprises has updated its NFL ’13 app today to support live coverage and second-screen support for the upcoming NFL draft. Second screen features have become popular as of late and were included in one our apps from yesterday, too. In this update, Verizon customers can watch the Draft Live directly on the app.
Tumblr is definitely gaining traction as a social network and it has today rolled out a minor revision to its app to include more sharing features. Also included in the update is Pocket and Instapaper support as well as Facebook-like improvements like swiping down to close photos.
