Most reliable sources are expecting a new, revamped, redesigned full-size iPad this year at some time. This, of course, would be the 5th generation of the device. Most suggest that one of the biggest changes coming to the iPad lineup is a major design overhaul to bring consistency among models. In other words, we expect the 5th generation iPad to look like the iPad mini. But when will be seeing it come to market?
While they do have an on-again off-again record when it comes to rumors, DigiTimes is reporting today that according to “Taiwan-based supply chain makers,” the latest iPad will being production in July-August. This of course would line the device up perfectly to be launched on the one year anniversary of the 4th generation iPad. However, this information completely counters many rumors suggesting an announcement as early as this month.
