Hide Apps from Springboard Without Being Jailbroken With This App

HiddenApps, available officially on the App Store due to what can only be an oversight on the part of an App Store reviewer, allows for the hiding of applications from Springboard. This functionality has long been available in the form of jailbreak tweaks and apps, but this appears to be the first time that an app has been approved that doesn’t require root access, and therefore a jailbreak.

This app won’t be around for very long: it almost certainly makes use of some hole in the Springboard code, and regardless is probably in violation of at least some App Store rule.

Still, the app is currently available in the App Store for the low, low price of absolutely free – considering what it does, it’s probably worth it to download and hold on to, particularly if you aren’t jailbroken.
