That Ultra-Thin iMac You’ve Always Wanted Now Ships in 24 Hours or Less

New iMac

Good news for prospective buyers of the all-new, ultra-thin iMac that Apple unveiled last Fall, as the desktop computer is finally shipping within a reasonable time frame. Just hours after dropping to 1 to 3 days, Apple has improved the shipping date for both the 21.5-inch and 27-inch iMacs to “within 24 hours,” meaning that you’ll be able to order a new iMac and have it leave the factory after just one sleep.

The new iMac is remarkably thin at just 5 mm around the edges, which is 80 percent thinner than the previous generation. The entry-level 21.5-inch model, starting at $1,299, features a 2.7 GHz quad-core Intel i5 processor, 8 GB of RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GT 640M graphics, four USB 3.0 ports, two Thunderbolt ports, expandable storage up to 3 TB, an SD card slot reader and more.
