It is not too often that I get excited about a new iPhone or Android device charger, as they are usually simple accessories that do nothing more than give your smartphone or tablet some added juice.
But, forgetting to bring your Lightning or 30-pin charging cable — or Micro USB cable — with you can be extremely frustrating. Fortunately, a new solution called ChargeCard will change the way that you go about charging your iPhone when you’re out and about.
ChargeCard is a new credit card-sized charger for iOS and Android devices, featuring both a USB port and either a Lightning, 30-pin or Micro USB port depending on which iPhone, iPad, iPod touch or Android device you have.
When the device has low battery life, simply grab the ChargeCard out of your wallet and find the nearest USB port. ChargeCard for iPhone 4 and Micro USB is shipping now for $25, but is already backordered until March. The iPhone 5 version, also $25, is available for pre-order and ships in May.
