HTC One Unveiled: The Next Big iPhone 5 and Galaxy S III Competitor

HTC One X Silver

Taiwanese handset maker HTC introduced its flagship HTC One smartphone on Tuesday,  packing a 4.7-inch display with an impressive 468 PPI, 1.7 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon system-on-a-chip processor, 2 GB of RAM and new “UltraPixel” camera that pairs with software called “Zoe” to give users the ability to take high-resolution photos with professionally designed cuts, transitions and effects.

The upcoming smartphone will presumably run the latest version of the Android operating system, with a number of proprietary HTC features such as BlinkFeed and BoomSound. The unibody HTC One will be rolled out to over 185 mobile providers across 85 regions and countries beginning in March, and should compete most closely with the iPhone 5 and Galaxy S III smartphones.
