Microsoft was scrutinized last week, when it confirmed that its new 128GB Surface Pro has only 83GB of usable storage. But, as noted by Ed Bott for ZDNet, the 128GB MacBook Air also falls victim to the same problem. According to Bott, the Apple notebook also has just 92.2GB of usable storage.
Moreover, Bott adds that the recovery partition on the Surface Pro can be moved to a standalone USB stick to save an additional 8GB on the Microsoft tablet. The bottom line is that, if Microsoft is going to be accused of misleading storage capacities, then Apple is equally at fault too. Touché.
