A Jailbreak Release Tomorrow is More Ideal

iPhone 5 Jailbreak

If you are upset that the iOS 6 untethered jailbreak was not released today, as speculated, you shouldn’t be. As pointed out by iOS hacker David Wang (planetbeing), a release tomorrow actually makes much more sense. For starters, a release at 12:00 PM Eastern tomorrow will allow for the jailbreak developers to be awake and assist those with questions.

Moreover, it will allow for those in Europe and other international countries to be awake as well. A release on late Sunday night in North America would be the middle of the night for most people in Europe, Asia and other regions. While it’s impossible for a jailbreak release to be timely for absolutely everyone worldwide, it still makes sense to cater to as many people as possible.

A third and final reason why a Monday release makes sense is because the jailbreak was just completed to begin with. The group of hackers behind the exploit — planetbeing, pimskeks, pod2g and MuscleNerd — never promised an official Sunday release date for the evasi0n jailbreak. It was the jailbreak community, including ourselves, that picked that date based on certain tweets and hints.

The good news is that we do now have a confirmed launch date for the iOS 6 untethered jailbreak, and it’s less than one day from now. The iOS 6 untethered jailbreak is easily the most highly-anticipated of its kind in the history of iFans, and the jailbreak scene as a whole. So many new devices will finally be set free — such as the iPhone 5, fifth-generation iPod touch, third- and fourth-generation iPad and iPad mini — together in unison.

Stay tuned to iFans for the latest jailbreak coverage. When the jailbreak finally drops, you’ll find everything that you need to know here. We have also prepared what is righteously the ultimate guide to the iOS 6 jailbreak, so check back tomorrow for jailbreak preparation tips, step-by-step jailbreak instructions, must-have Cydia tweaks, theming and more. Tomorrow is going to be a monumental day in the history of iFans. We’re excited. And we hope you are too.

Sleep tight.
