The BlackBerry Q10 is officially the first BlackBerry 10 smartphone, featuring a 3.1-inch display and full QWERTY keyboard. BlackBerry CEO Thorsten Heines says this handset is for anyone that needs to have a physical keyboard, which seems like a rather trivial feature to promote over the competition.
All it takes is five minutes of using a touchscreen keyboard on an iPhone or Android smartphone, and you won’t even feel the need for a physical keyboard on a BlackBerry anymore. The enterprise people that are still using a QWERTY keyboard must just be too stubborn to make the switch to what works better.
Nevertheless, the BlackBerry Q10 provides a legitimate upgrade path for existing BlackBerry users. And if you’re a BlackBerry user that is looking to finally ditch the keyboard for the full touchscreen experience, the new BlackBerry Z10 is the solution for you.
