It’s just been good news after good news for those of us anxiously awaiting a jailbreak, hasn’t it? Pod2g and Planetbeing have recently been keeping us updated on the status of the jailbreak via twitter, and most of it has lead us to think a jailbreak is coming soon. Today, pod2g has tweeted that he, MuscleNerd, Planetbeing, as well as Pimskeks are forming a new jailbreak dev team: the evad3rs.
We (+ @musclenerd @planetbeing @pimskeks) are the @evad3rs. We don’t take any donations ATM, please don’t be fooled at donating to others.

The team has not announced what they have up their sleeves — if anything — but I think we all know why this new “team” has been formed. We’ve already seen that Planetbeing and Pod2g have been collaborating on the next jailbreak, but this announcement means two others are apart of this group. They undoubtedly are setting up a platform to launch the iOS 6.1 jailbreak. If that’s the case, they’re doing a good job as the official evad3rs twitter account already has more than 10,000 followers.
And the timing couldn’t be better. iOS 6.1 Beta 4 expires in 4 days, and that means Apple will be releasing something on or before that date. It could be iOS 6.1 Beta 5, and it could be iOS 6.1. That said, we do know that Pod2g recently tweeted the following, anxiously awaiting Apple’s release of iOS 6.1.
Come on Apple. Release that 6.1 now! /cc @planetbeing @pimskeks @musclenerd

Cross your fingers that Apple doesn’t close any last exploits before the golden master of iOS 6.1 is released!
