Samsung has refreshed its flagship Galaxy S smartphone lineup annually, in the May – June time frame, but it could bump up the launch date of the Galaxy S IV to March 22nd, according to a new prediction. While previous rumors have suggested that the fourth-generation Galaxy S could be unveiled at Mobile World Congress in late February, Asia Economic News reports that Samsung will hold a keynote in the United States on March 22nd to reveal the new handset.
Samsung’s Galaxy S IV is expected to pack a 5-inch Super AMOLED display with 1920 x 1080 pixel true HD resolution, sporting a pixel density of 441 pixels-per-inch. Moreover, the handset is expected to have a quad-core Exynos processor under the hood, 4G LTE cellular connectivity and possibly a new flexible display technology that will prevent the screen from breaking. The smartphone should run Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean out of the box, and is expected to ship in April.
