Well that was fast. Temple Run 2 is currently #1 on the iTunes free app charts. The original Temple Run may have been slowly dying in popularity, but it appears Imangi Studios has been able to revive the smash hit run-and-jump game. Temple Run 2 does what every great sequel does: the formula is exactly the same, but the environments, mechanics, and overall feel have been given a fresh overhaul.
Sadly, the release of the game late yesterday came as a disappointment to some Android users because it is currently no where to be found on Google Play. Good news came today, though, because Imangi Studios co-founder Keith Shepherd has confirmed to Polygon that the Android version will be coming “next week.” The game is scheduled to launch on the Amazon Appstore at that time as well.
