Apple’s VP of Retail Jerry McDougal Leaves the Company

Reports are flowing out from Cupertino that Apple’s VP of Retail, the right-hand man of Ron Johnson, who left the company to become the CEO of J.C. Penney last year, Jerry McDougal has left the company. Claiming that he wants to “spend more time with his family,” the report even claims that he was being looked at for the Senior VP Retail role, which was recently vacated after it was announced that John Browett would be leaving Apple.

It’s a rather surprising announcement. McDougal’s role apparently included marketing retail strategy and store operations, and he was often seen at the grand-openings of more high-profile stores across the country.
