Thieves Steal $1.3 Million Worth of Apple Product in Paris

New Years Day brought light to the “Do Not Disturb” bug, but what happened on New Years Eve? Apparently, Parisian thieves stole upwards of 1.3 million American dollars worth of Apple products at the Apple Store Opéra.

Police believe it was coordinated to take place as police dealt with large crowds building up for the New Year Eve’s celebrations on the Champs Elysee and by the Eiffel Tower.

The four masked, armed robbers timed the attack at 9 PM Paris time on Monday night, purportedly to evade security forces focused on New Years Eve celebrations. Clever tactics in my opinion, but rest assured that the thieves are currently being hunted by UK police. Hopefully Apple had Find My iPhone enabled.
