Apple today seeded the fourth beta of its upcoming iOS 6.1 software update to developers for testing. The release carries a build number of 10B5126b, and the software was seeded for all compatible iOS devices, including the new iPhone 5, iPad mini, fourth-generation iPad and fifth-generation iPod touch.
Also also seeded the third beta of its latest Apple TV software and Xcode 4.6 Developer Preview 4. Apple developers can download this latest iOS build from the Dev Center or as an over-the-air software update using a device with a previous iOS 6.1 beta version installed.
The first iOS 6.1 beta included expanded Siri functionality, an improved Maps framework, minor Passbook changes, and minor Safari tweaks among other changes. iOS 6.1 beta 2 built upon those minor changes in Maps, Safari and Passbook, while the third beta contained bug fixes and other minor improvements.
