Research in Motion has formally invited members of the press to its BlackBerry 10 launch event in New York City on January 30th. The event, dubbed as “The Blackberry Experience,” will show off various features of the BlackBerry 10 software. The unveiling of BlackBerry 10 is very important for Research in Motion, as many believe that it is the Canadian company’s last chance to revive itself within the smartphone industry.
Based on early leaked photos and previews from RIM themselves, there appears to be at least some promise for the BlackBerry 10 platform. A seperate report on BGR notes that over 120 enterprise and government customers are officially trialing BlackBerry 10, which is a very important target market for RIM. We’ll find out just how much consumer response — and, more importantly, demand — BlackBerry 10 attracts in just under a few months.
Are you excited?
