Earlier this week, smartphone maker Research in Motion teased one of its upcoming BlackBerry 10 smartphones with a dark image on its website. If that wasn’t enough to get you excited about what RIM has in store come January, Vietnamese forum Tinhte.vn has leaked high-resolution photos of what appears to be the first BlackBerry 10 smartphone. The device, codenamed “London” and part of RIM’s upcoming L-series of BlackBerry smartphones, is expected to be released early next year.
The device features a full touchscreen and sleek design, and is reminiscent of an iPhone on the front and Nexus 7 on the back. The handset is very thin overall and has a few physical buttons, 3.5 mm headphone jack and microphone. The photos also reveal NFC functionality, a microSD slot and 1,800 mAh battery. RIM is set to announce its new BlackBerry 10 platform on January 30th, alongside new BlackBerry devices including this L-series handset. A few more pictures can be found ahead.
