Less than a year after the release of its flagship Galaxy S III smartphone, it is rumored that Samsung could announce its latest Galaxy S IV handset at the Consumer Electronics Show next month. Samsung has prepared a teaser video for CES 2013, a trade show that it routinely participates in, hinting that it will launch a new product at the event. “Get ready” as “the world awaits something new,” the video claims.
Samsung introduced its Galaxy S III smartphone last May, so it’s likely that the South Korean consumer electronics company would only unveil the handset ahead of actually releasing it later next year. Samsung might be preparing to launch an entirely new product altogether, however, such as a new television set. Fortunately, we’ll find out in just under a month.
Samsung’s Galaxy S IV is expected to pack a 5-inch Super AMOLED display with 1920 x 1080 pixel true HD resolution, sporting a pixel density of 441 pixels-per-inch. Moreover, the handset is expected to feature a quad-core Exynos processor, 4G LTE cellular connectivity and possibly a new flexible display technology that will prevent the screen from breaking. CES 2013 takes place January 8 – 11 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
