In the weeks following the launch of Microsoft’s new Surface tablet, there has been a lot of praise for the tablet; however, there has been an equal amount of negative criticism surrounding its software performance, which can be poor at times. Many early adopters have experienced sluggish performance from certain apps, including both native and third-party titles from the Windows Store.
Fortunately, Microsoft has issued its first software update for the Surface today, which includes improved app performance as one of the highlighted features. Tom Warren from The Verge was among the first to report on the updates, noticing a marginal improvement in app launch times alongside two security fixes.
