Apple Donates $2.5 Million to Red Cross For Hurricane Sandy Relief

The northeastern United States has seen its fair share of bad weather over the past week, highlighted by the impact of Hurricane Sandy, but individuals and companies alike have responded to help those individuals affected by the disaster. Apple is now among those companies that has given a helping hand, with Tim Cook announcing in an email to employees (via 9to5Mac) that Apple is donating $2.5 million to the American Red Cross to aid in relief efforts. That money is on top of the millions in donations that Apple has collected from employees and customers around the world.
