Apple previously noted that it has been absolutely blown away by consumer response to the iPhone 5, while Foxconn chairman Terry Gou has reportedly claimed that his manufacturing line is falling short at keeping up with the high demand.
As the holiday shopping season enters full swing, it is more than likely that demand for the new Apple handset will remain strong, which poses a problem for the Cupertino-based company in getting the device into customer’s hands in time for Christmas.
Foxconn is already working hands down to make as many iPhone 5 units as possible, but supply remains constrained across the United States and several countries. It’s quite surprising for a smartphone that launched almost two months ago.
That being said, despite the high demand and low supply, have you been able to purchase an iPhone 5 yet since it launched? Perhaps you’re waiting until Christmas to get one under the tree, or maybe you’re even planning on purchasing the Nexus 4 or other latest Android device? Whatever the case may be, let’s hear it in the comments.
