Minecraft creator Mojang announced today that it has submitted Minecraft: Pocket Edition version 0.5.0 to the App Store for approval. The update introduces a number of new features, including paintings, mushroom farming, melons, zombie pigmen, a nether reactor and glowstones. The forthcoming 0.5.0 update will also include tweaks that restore hearts when sleeping in bed, makes food restore more health, reduces in-game fog and makes it easier to get out of a bed.
Last, the update will bring a number of bug fixes, addressing issues that range from the game crashing when loading a saved game to seeds spawning below grass blocks when using a hoe. The complete update changelog includes over 25 additional bug fixes. Minecraft: Pocket Edition is a $6.99 download from the App Store for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad.
