Apple Now Selling Lightning to Micro USB Adapter For $19

Apple is routinely criticized for launching devices with proprietary ports, such as the Lightning connector, in lieu of using industry standards such as Micro USB. Fortunately, Apple has now released a new Lightning to Micro USB adapter for $19 in the United States.

The adapter had been available in the United Kingdom since shortly after the iPhone 5 launch last September, but has finally made its way stateside. This adapter might serve as an ideal alternative for many, since its $19 price tag coupled with an inexpensive Micro USB cable is not overly expensive.
