iPad 2 and iPad Mini Both Have Dual-Core A5 Processor, But Only One Gets Siri

On the comparison page for iPad models on Apple’s website, the new iPad mini is confirmed to have full Siri voice assistance. On the contrary, the iPad 2 with the same dual-core A5 processor remains without Siri, and it does not appear that the second-generation iPad will ever receive the feature whatsoever.

Apple originally introduced Siri with the iPhone 4S and then expanded the feature to the third-generation iPad and most recently the fifth-generation iPod touch. It looks as if any device that was released prior to the iPhone 4S will never have the Siri advantage, especially since Apple knows the feature will be an incentive for older iOS device owners to upgrade.
