iBooks 3.0 Released

Although the number of people who find it important may be limited, Apple did announce this morning that iBooks 3.0 would be released today for free. Being a big part of the appeal of the iPad mini — the ability to read books on a more portable device and with one hand — iBooks 3.0 is out now on the App store.

New features include the ability to scroll vertically through your books with the flick of a finger using the new Scroll theme, support for other languages, and many social sharing features through Facebook and Twitter. Also worth noting is that book Authors can now use iBooks as a platform to release updates for their books — and you can now download these updates for your purchased books.
