Apple Exchanging 3rd Generation iPads Purchased Within the Last 30 Days for Fourth Generation Models

With the release of the 4th-generation iPad today, Apple has certainly annoyed more than a few people. Given the oddly short life-span of the third-generation model, it might please some people to know that Apple will be exchanging third-generation iPads purchased in the last thirty days for a similarly configured fourth-generation model.

It isn’t a sure-fire way to get a new iPad, though, as it is ultimately up to the local Apple Store whether or not to follow this procedure. It’s also likely a good idea to call ahead and make sure of both stock, and if the store is willing to upgrade the iPad.
