
Apple’s Senior VP of Marketing Phil Schiller was on stage today at his company’s special event in San Jose to talk about the Mac. Schiller announced a new lineup of Mac Minis, with a starting model for $599 that features a 2.5 GHz dual-core Intel i5 processor, 4 GB of RAM, Intel HD Graphics 4000 and a 500 GB hard drive.
There is also a higher tier $799 model available with a 2.3 GHz quad-core Intel i7 processor and 1 TB hard drive. Last, the Mac Mini designed for OS X Server retails for $999 with the same specs as the $799 model plus an additional 1 TB hard drive. Schiller notes that the Mac Mini is the most environmentally friendly desktop computer on the market.
