Apple Introduces 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display

Apple’s Senior VP of Marketing Phil Schiller was on stage today at its special event in San Jose to talk about the Mac. Schiller announced a new 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display to go alongside the current 15-inch model, featuring a 2.5 GHz quad-core Intel i5 processor, 8GB of RAM, ultra-thin 0.75 inches aluminum unibody chassis, 2,560 x 1,600 pixels Retina display, MagSafe 2, Thunderbolt and two USB 3.0 ports, an SD card reader, 3.5mm headphone jack, backlit keyboard, FaceTime camera, dual microphones, new battery technology and lots more. The entry-level model starts at $1,699 with a higher end $1,999 model available, comparable to the $2,199 starting price for the 15-inch model.
