Lack of iOS 6 Manual for iPad Suggests iPad Mini is Imminent

iFans forum member Tkf1 was digging through Apple’s website to uncover clues about the rumored iPad Mini. While it appears that Apple has been tight lipped on its website about the smaller tablet, what he did uncover was the lack of an iOS 6 user manual for the new iPad.

Apple always provides an up-to-date iOS user manual alongside every new device it launches, but it will hold back on releasing one if that device is about to be updated. In this case, Apple is about to release the iPad Mini and potentially rerelease the new iPad with a Lightning connector, so that would indicate why Apple is holding off on releasing an iOS 6 manual for the iPad.

While this is merely speculation, it is an interesting observation that we are sharing in the interest of discussion. It is worth noting that Apple did not provide an iOS 6 user manual for the fourth-generation iPod touch either, presumably because the fifth-generation model had been just on the horizon.

Apple is expected to release the iPad Mini alongside refreshed iMacs, new Mac Minis and a 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display next Tuesday, October 23rd at 10:00 AM Pacific at the California Theatre in San Jose. iFans will be providing full coverage of the event as it unfolds.
