Apple Announces October 23rd Special Event

Apple on Tuesday sent out invitations to a special media event next Tuesday, October 23rd at 10:00 AM Pacific at the California Theatre in San Jose. The invitation has a tagline of “we’ve got a little more to show you,” which according to rumors should be an iPad Mini, 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display, updated Mac Mini and iMac lineups and potentially more. Apple holds most events at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts or at its own Town Hall auditorium on campus, so this is quite a different venue choice that Apple has made for this particular event.

The event should feature a number of Apple executives led by Tim Cook, including iOS head Scott Forstall, marketing chief Phil Schiller and perhaps engineering executive Bob Mansfield. iFans will have full coverage of the event as it unfolds, so mark your calendars for next Tuesday. It’s going to be an exciting day in the Apple landscape, just one month after Apple debuted the iPhone 5 and new iPod lineup. This holiday shopping season is going to be extremely busy for Apple, one would imagine. One would think we’re in store for record-breaking quarterly results, too.
