You might recall that I openly criticized Microsoft for poorly marketing its new Surface tablet — twice, in fact — but this new Surface advertisement proves that the company might be taking the tablet in the right direction. Microsoft’s first advertisement for the Surface tablet is extremely creative, showing consumers that there is a new and interesting iPad alternative that is about to hit the market. The television spot features upbeat music and dancing, like some Microsoft commercials of the past, and also seems to clearly demonstrate students and young adults as its primary target audience. Microsoft calls it the Surface Movement. I’m willing to jump on board.
