Apple failed to provide a precise launch date for its new iPod touch, iPod nano and iPod shuffle lineup, instead claiming that the devices would ship some time in October. Over the past week, reports have surfaced about the new iPods finally being shipped to residences and retail locations worldwide. Supply of the new iPods has greatly varied by region or retail chain, however, with Amazon only listing specific capacities and color options as shipping immediately.
Some Apple Store and third-party reseller locations have new iPods, while others do not. So we’ll reiterate a question that surfaced in the iFans discussion forums — has your nearest Apple Store or authorized reseller received new iPods yet? Have you been able to purchase the latest iPod touch, iPod nano or iPod shuffle in the size and color you desired? If you wish, provide a location within close proximity to the store that you purchased your new iPod from.
