Apple introduced the fifth-generation iPod touch last month to much fanfare, although it has yet to provide a concrete release date for the new device outside of a general October time frame. A brief slip up on Apple’s online retail store for Australia last night, however, revealed that the new iPod touch with a dual-core processor, 4-inch Retina display and 5-megapixel camera could be shipping in 3 weeks.
Sam Adams at Today’s iPhone was quick to take the above screenshot of the shipping estimate, which appeared for only a short time on the page for Apple’s 32GB (PRODUCT) RED iPod touch. If the shipping estimate of 3 weeks is accurate, the new iPod touch should start arriving at people’s doorsteps on October 25th or later. Have you pre-ordered the new iPod touch?
