Apple: Lightning to HDMI, Lightning to VGA Adapters Coming Soon

After yesterday’s announcement of the Lightning dock connector, many had questions as to whether or not it would be able to handle video-out operations. Until earlier today, many reasoned that Apple was pushing AirPlay (and therefore the Apple TV) in order to have video-out for its new lineup of devices. That is, however, false: Apple, in a comment to The Verge, stated that they would indeed be offering various new accessories to connect the Lightning port to both HDMI and VGA ports “soon.” Obviously, no solid timeframe, though before the end of October seems reasonable, as Apple is ramping up production of all components related to the new devices quickly in order to meet demand.
