iPhone 5 Pre-Orders Begin at 12:01 AM on September 14th

It was already known that Apple would begin accepting pre-orders for the iPhone 5 on September 14th, but the Cupertino-based company has now confirmed that 12:01 AM Pacific will be the exact time that pre-orders kickoff in the United States, Canada, Australia, United Kingdom, Germany and other participating countries.

Sprint will begin accepting iPhone 5 pre-orders online at the same time, while Verizon Wireless will launch its pre-orders a minute earlier at the stroke of midnight on Friday. It is unclear when AT&T will begin accepting iPhone 5 pre-orders, although it has usually coincided with Apple in previous years.

Apple will roll out the iPhone 5 in an additional 22 countries on September 28th, including Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.
