Apple today introduced a new fifth-generation iPod touch featuring a brand new design that, for the first time, is made from the same anodized aluminum used in the MacBook lineup of notebooks. The new iPod touch comes in black, blue, green, red and silver with a white bezel and features a 4-inch display, dual-core A5 processor, 5-megapixel iSight camera with LED flash, smaller Lightning dock connector, redesigned speaker grills and Siri.
Moreover, the new iPod touch is thinner and lighter than its predecessors and features a button on the back that can be pushed to attach a special wristband loop for added security. Like the new iPod touch, this loop accessory also comes in a variety of matching colors. Finally, the latest iPod touch meets a number of environmental standards and include Apple’s new EarPods headphones. The new iPod touch is priced from $299 with pre-orders beginning September 14th.
