Woops: Apple’s Search Engine Confirms ‘iPhone 5,’ New iPod Touch, New iPod Nano and More

If you are still debating what name Apple will choose to call its next-generation iPhone, look no further than Apple’s search engine for a spoiler. By searching for the phrase “iPhone-5″ on the website, you will be presented with a defunct link for a press release entitled “Apple Introduces iPhone 5.” This reference virtually shatters any chances that Apple will use other names such as “iPhone LTE,” “iPhone 4G” or simply “the new iPhone” for its next-generation handset.

Not only does Apple’s search engine reveal the name of the upcoming iPhone, but it also confirms that it has LTE capabilities, in addition to showing a press release prepared for a new iPod touch and new iPod nano. Additionally, a new version of iTunes has been spotted in the search engine to complete the roundup of leaks ahead of the ‘iPhone 5′ special media event at 10:00 AM Pacific (1:oo PM Eastern).
