T-Mobile Launches “Bring Your Own iPhone” Campaign

T-Mobile is preparing to both sell against the iPhone and embrace customers that already own an iPhone with its new “bring your own iPhone” campaign.

T-Mobile’s efforts, which kick off September 12th, involve attracting unlocked iPhone customers to their network by placing iPhone 4S demo units in each of their branded retail stores and having staff on hand to provide training to help customers set up their compatible iPhone.

T-Mobile is also developing iOS apps for its popular services such as T-Mobile myAccount, T-Mobile Visual Voicemail and T-Mobile TV, while it will begin testing incentive offers to customers in select markets.

Moreover, T-Mobile will be increasingly marketing the benefits of bringing an unlocked iPhone to its network, including unlimited nationwide data, up to $50 in savings over AT&T, and nationwide coverage that includes an ever-growing, iPhone-compatible 4G HSPA+ network that provides download speeds up to 70% faster than AT&T.

T-Mobile’s 4G HSPA+ network is currently live in Seattle, Las Vegas, Washington DC and the New York metro area. Keep in mind that Verizon Wireless and Sprint iPhones are incompatible with T-Mobile and older iPhone models may have limited functionality on the network.
