Report: Apple Shipping New iMacs and 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro

A new report from spotty DigiTimes claims that Apple is now shipping new iMacs and a 13-inch model of the MacBook Pro with Retina display in time for a September or October launch. It is stated that the refreshed iMac lineup will feature a redesigned chassis and new Intel Ivy Bridge processors, although a Retina display is not expected to be included on the all-in-one desktop computer.

The new iMac is also expected to have anti-reflective display technology and be noticeably thinner, although the 21.5-inch model might launch prior to the 27-inch model due to manufacturing issues related to the “full-lamenation process” that Apple is now using. The iMac is claimed to be the most popular all-in-one desktop computer in the world, while Apple ranks fifth-largest among manufacturers of desktops.
