After losing a landmark jury trial with Apple that involves paying $1 billion in damages to the Cupertino-based corporation, the Korea Times reports that Samsung will sue Apple immediately if it chooses to release an LTE-equipped iPhone. And according to rumors, an iPhone with LTE is just a few weeks away.
Samsung confirmed that it will immediately sue Apple if the latter releases products using advanced long-term evolution (LTE) mobile technology. LTE has been emerging as the top standard in the global mobile industry.
Samsung is also reportedly interested in establishing closer connections with Microsoft in an attempt to loosen its ties with the Android operating system. The South Korean consumer electronics maker is making this move to thwart any future patent infringement claims from Apple.
