Compare This: Next-Gen iPhone Alongside iPhone 4S, iPhone 3GS

To get a better idea of just how much taller and thinner the next-generation iPhone is expected to be in contrast to older iPhone models, take a look at these comparison shots that French website Nowhere Else has posted. The photos — a gallery is after the break — show parts for the next-generation iPhone assembled alongside an iPhone 4S and iPhone 3GS, making the iPhone 4S look much bulkier and simply leaving the iPhone 3GS in the dust as a gigantic brick.

The sixth-generation iPhone, expected to be unveiled on September 12th, is rumored to be thinner with a 4-inch display and aluminum unibody chassis, smaller 8-pin, 9-pin or 19-pin dock connector, centered FaceTime camera, redesigned speaker grills and a headphone jack relocated to the bottom of the handset. Moreover, it is also widely expected that Apple’s next iPhone will be compatible with LTE networks and could feature NFC for mobile payments.
