Microsoft Changes its Logo For the First Time Since 1987

It’s worth noting today that Microsoft has changed its logo for the first time in 25 years to reflect the design of Windows 8 alongside its Xbox 360 and Office productivity suite services. Microsoft is taking a fresh approach with its new colorful and vibrant logo, a sharp contrast from its previous editions that have always been merely italicized, black font.

After releasing Windows Vista to much criticism during what could be considered a period of dark years for the company, Microsoft has bounced back in recent years and appears poised to become a very exciting, and likely successful, player in the industry with its upcoming Windows Phone 8, Windows 8 and Microsoft Surface tablet offerings.
