While its ongoing patent lawsuit with Samsung has been all the talk lately, Apple is also being sued by the joint Google and Motorola for allegedly infringing upon seven patents; yes, the patent litigation continues in the technology industry. Additionally, high resolution pictures of the purported smaller dock connector for iPhone surfaced and China’s second-largest mobile carrier might be moving away from selling iPhones on contract.

In other news, a gallery of high resolution wallpapers for the new MacBook Pro with Retina display was posted, the next-generation ASUS Transformer tablet was revealed and the possibility of Apple acquiring TiVo was discussed. Last, PayPal is testing mobile payments at fast food chain McDonalds and daily deals website Groupon continued to struggle and closed at an all-time low stock price. Facebook, too, isn’t doing so well on the stock market and is now worth about half of its initial valuation.
