Never again shall your Instagram photos fade away into history, for version 3.0 of the app has been released on iPhone and iPod touch with a new feature called Photo Maps that groups your photos together based on their location. Essentially, Instagram now has photo albums in addition to a streaming feed of photos in reverse chronological order. Better yet, that long streaming line of photos is now endless, as the “load more” button has been removed and photos load instantaneously as you scroll down.
Instagram has also been updated with improved controls for sorting and sharing your photos, new user profiles and a new ability to moderate comments by simply tapping on the immature or trolling comment in particular and reporting it. Overall, the Instagram app has been given a nice user interface facelift, making the design of the popular photo effect app — which was acquired by Facebook recently — even more polished for its over 80 million users. Instagram is available as a free download from the App Store.
